Create A Sensible Theme

One of the best ways to update your child’s bedroom is by creating a theme that fits with their interests. Whether it be an artsy theme that allows for space to paint or draw, a musical theme with a comfortable area to practice instruments or a place to study if your child is more scholastically inclined, having a theme can make the space more inviting and enjoyable for your child.

It is important to think about the future as well and consider a theme that they will likely enjoy for several years. If you’re interested in these ideas or would like a few more suggestions, we’d be happy to help.
Add A Proper Bed

As your child progresses in age, there is an obvious need for changes in the bed that they sleep on. Whether it be transitioning from a crib to a children’s bed, or from a children’s bed to a bunk bed or full-sized bed, there are several things to take into consideration.

If you are looking to make the transition as seamless as possible, a good rule of thumb is slowly easing into changes. It might be better for them to sleep in something a bit smaller for a few years before going right to a larger bed. We suggest listening to your child’s ideas and giving them something that you both agree upon.

Make Lighting A Consideration

An important and often underrated part of the room is the lighting. We suggest that you put blackout blinds or curtains in your child’s room for the best night’s sleep. This will stop sunlight or outside lights from entering into the room and disrupting your child’s sleeping patterns. As they are developing so much during this time, it is important that they get the proper amount of rest. We understand that this may not be appropriate for all ages, and if your child has issues with complete darkness, a night light is something to consider as well.

It will be an absolute pleasure to get to work on your child’s new bedroom soon, and we ask that you reach out to our experienced team whenever you are able to get started; we look forward to hearing from you!
